Study: 100,000 Deaths From Indonesia's Haze

Researchers say a thick, smoky haze caused by man-made forest fires in Indonesia is the likely cause of more than 100,000 premature deaths in the country, as well as neighboring Malaysia and Singapore. Scientists from Harvard and Columbia universities, using a complex analytical model, came up with a death toll that far exceeded Indonesia's official toll of just 19 deaths from the smog.
