DRC, Rwanda Forces Exchange Gunfire

Officials in the Democratic Republic of Congo say soldiers have exchanged gunfire with troops from neighboring Rwanda. The officials say Congolese forces opened fire early Wednesday, after the Rwandans crossed the border and abducted a Congolese soldier. The pre-dawn fighting near Kibumba, in the eastern province of North Kivu, lasted about four hours. There was no immediate word on any casualties.
