Le Secrétaire général Ban Ki-moon a nommé le Canadien Nigel Fisher au poste de Représentant spécial par intérim pour Haïti et Chef de la Mission des Nations Unies pour la Stabilisation en Haïti (MINUSTAH). M. Fisher succède ainsi au Représentant spécial Mariano Fernández, du Chili, dont il était l'adjoint et qui a quitté ses fonctions à la fin de cette semaine.
