The Philippines supreme court voted unanimously today to impose a 120-day temporary restraining order on the "Cybercrime Prevention Act 2012" pending hearings beginning 15 January to determine whether any of its provisions violate civil liberties. The court issued its ruling in response to 15 petitions against the law, known as Republic Act No. 10175, which President Benigno Aquino signed on 12 September.
