Le Conseil international de coordination du Programme MAB (Man and the Biosphere) de l'Organisation des Nations Unies pour l'éducation, la science et la culture (UNESCO), a ajouté mercredi 20 nouveaux sites, dont deux transfrontaliers, au Réseau mondial de réserves de biosphère. Le réseau compte désormais 599 réserves de biosphères réparties dans 117 pays.
