Japan: Kyoto roundtable on the Additional Protocols (3-4 November 2011)

The ICRC and the Japanese ministry of foreign affairs are holding a roundtable in Kyoto involving Japan and 14 other East Asian and South-East Asian countries. The subject will be the interpretation and application of the 1977 Protocols Additional to the Geneva Conventions of 1949. The head of the ICRC’s Tokyo Office, Yoshinobu Nagamine, explains the event.
