Dr. Osée Kamga is a professor at the Département de journalisme et relations publiques of the University of Sudbury and a research associate at the Laboratoire des média audiovisuels pour l’étude des cultures et sociétés (LAMACS) of the University of Ottawa (Canada). His fields of interest cover social and media communications, matters relating to tolerance, and international relations. He is the author of the essay Et si le développement nous trompait. Le modèle ivoirien en point de mire. As a fiction writer, Dr Osée Kamga has published Le licencié (2006), La tourterelle noire (2004) and Jacques le narrateur (2000). Dr Kamga is a member of Tolerance.ca. He is responsible for establishing partnerships with francophone institutions and universities of Northern Ontario.

The Western media coverage of the July 22 (2011) terrorist attacks that took the lives of 76 people in Norway have been extremely disturbing, even disgusting. In the wake of these terrorist acts, the debate quickly shifted to immigration policies as the “most enlightened” pundits and journalists went on trashing multiculturalism policies. Essentially, they have followed the lead the killer, Behring Anders, provided in his manifesto. (Full Story)

The Stock Market Crisis: Who Said that Socialism was Dead?

Does anyone know what is happening in stock markets around the world? The way the various governments have rushed into action seems to indicate that they understand what’s going on. Witness the Central European Bank’s injection of thousands of billion of dollars since Sept. 15 in an effort to keep the world’s financial system running. And on Oct. 3, President Bush signed a bailout plan putting more than $700 billion at the disposal of the American treasury to shore up the US financial sector. Nationalizing financial institutions has now become the order of the day. (Full Story)
