Canada announces Conclusion Negotations on Nuclear Cooperation with India |  |
PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – Prime Minister Stephen Harper today announced that Canada and India have concluded negotiations on a nuclear cooperation agreement. The Prime Minister made the announcement during a meeting with Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India, on the margins of the 2009 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

Canada - India. The two Prime Ministers review Bilateral Relations |  |
The Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. Stephen Harper, paid an official visit to India from November 15-18, 2009, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh. During his visit, Prime Minister Harper called on the President of India, Smt. Pratibha Patil, and the Vice President of India, Shri Mohammad Hamid Ansari. The Leader of Opposition, Shri L.K. Advani, and the External Affairs Minister, Shri S.M. Krishna, called on Prime Minister Harper.

Opposing Sharia Law. Rallies to be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 |  |
One Law for All campaign is organising a rally on Saturday 21 November 2009 at 1200pm in London’s Hyde Park. The rally aims to oppose religious laws in Britain and eslewhere. Simultaneous acts of solidarity and support for the rally and its aims will take place in countries across the world including Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Nigeria, Serbia and Montenegro and Sweden.

Canada. Weekly Distribution of the H1N1 Flu Vaccine |  |
The Government of Canada is overseeing the distribution of the H1N1 flu vaccine from the vaccine manufacturer to the provinces and territories. The vaccine is being distributed to the provinces and territories on a per capita basis, as agreed to by the Chief Medical Officers of Health. For unadjuvanted vaccine, it is being distributed based on the estimated number of pregnant women in each jurisdiction. The Territories have been supplied in full from initial shipments to minimize the number of shipments, given the logistical challenges of shipping to the North.
