Forgotten History of Chinese Laborers in California Wine Country

The California Gold Rush in the mid-1800s brought a lot of people to the American west coast seeking to strike it rich.  They included people from China.  After the Gold Rush, many of the Chinese stayed and worked as unskilled labor, including in construction of the railroads.  A lesser known fact is that some of them also helped lay the foundation for the famous California wine industry.  VOA’s Elizabeth Lee has the details from Sonoma, California.
