Swimmer Dies in Hong Kong Harbor Race

Hong Kong's annual Cross Harbor Swim was marred Sunday by the death of one of the more than 3,000 entrants. Media reports say a man was pulled unconscious from the water, while a woman has been hospitalized in critical condition. Some swimmers complained about the water's strong currents. The 1,500-meter course encompasses Lei Yue Mun fishing village on the Kowloon side of Victoria Harbor to the Sai Wan Ho section of Hong Kong island. The annual event was revised in 2011...
