Farmville, Virginia, Home of the VP Debate, Feels Connected to Trump

Vice presidential candidates Mike Pence and Tim Kaine will face off in Farmville, Virginia for their first and only debate during this election. While polls show Virginia is leaning Democratic, the state is considered a key swing state. Voters in cities like Kaine’s hometown of Richmond tend to be Democratic. Those in rural areas like Farmville are more conservative. VOA’s Katherine Gypson follows one supporter of Donald Trump from Farmville who feels a connection with the Republican nominee.
