Electromagnetic Brain Stimulation Helps Fight Depression

It is estimated that more than 120 million people worldwide suffer from depression, a debilitating mood disorder that severely affects the quality of life and in the worst cases, can lead to suicide. The symptoms are many and the cause is still unknown. In spite of effective antidepressants, some patients do not respond to drugs. For them, doctors may recommend a different approach – regular stimulation of the brain with electromagnetic waves. VOA’s George Putic reports.
