6.8-Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Myanmar

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 hit north-central Myanmar Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. No casualties were reported, although tremors were felt in the Thai capital, Bangkok and Kolkata in India — each around 1,000 kilometers away.
