Egypt's Rabaa Massacre Anniversary

On Aug. 14, 2013, Egyptian security forces opened fire on thousands of protesters at two sit-in camps in Rabaa and Nahda in Cairo. More than 1,000 protesters were killed, in what Human Rights Watch called 'one of the world’s largest killings of demonstrators in a single day in recent history.' Thousands other were wounded.
