About a third of the 2.2 million tons of bombs dropped on Laos by U.S forces during a 9 year secret operation during the Vietnam war remain undetonated. While much of the focus is on efforts to clean up the deadly ordinance, more than 15,000 UXO accident survivors require ongoing care but have few options.
