South Sudan's President Kiir Urged to Uphold Peace Accord

South Sudan's First Vice President Riek Machar has called for President Salva Kiir not to violate a peace accord signed last year by recognizing and confirming Taban Deng Gai as his replacement. Machar spokesman James Gadet Dak says Gai's nomination as first vice president could scuttle the peace process and create unnecessary discomfort and tension.
