Addiction Risk Rises From Chronic Use of Painkillers, Experts Say

Experts say the misuse and abuse of prescription painkiller drugs in the United States is often the result of widespread misconceptions about the addictive nature of opioids. The experts say in many instances, the addiction stems from prolonged use of strong painkillers after a major surgery. VOA’s George Putic reports.
