India Launches 20 Satellites on One Rocket

India placed 20 satellites in orbit Wednesday from the Satish Dhawan space center in the country's south. The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) C-34 took off at 9:26 a.m. carrying 17 foreign and three domestic satellites. The main passenger was Cartosat-2, an Indian earth observation satellite which can take images at sub-meter resolution. Other satellites were from the U.S., Indonesia, Canada and Germany.
