US Job Gains Weaker Than Expected in April

The U.S. unemployment rate held steady at 5% last month, but the number of new hires in April came in at a disappointing 160,000 — well below the 200,000 jobs many economists had been expecting. Adding to new worries about the health of the world's largest economy, the Labor Department said 19,000 fewer jobs were added in the previous two months. Mil Arcega has more.
