Crawfish Deeply Rooted in Louisiana Culture

Crawfish – or crayfish – are small freshwater crustaceans that resemble small lobsters. And in the southern U.S. state of Louisiana they have become something people cannot live without. The state's crawfish industry dates back to pre-colonial times, and farming crawfish on flooded rice fields is now a regular part of the state’s food production. VOA’s Enming Liu and Lin Yang visited southern Louisiana to discover the culture and give us a taste of the famous Louisiana crawfish boil.
