East Africa Considers Import Ban on Secondhand Clothes

The leaders of the six-nation East African Community are considering a proposal to ban the import of used vehicles, clothes and shoes to promote local industry. It would be a major change. Kenya imports more than 100,000 metric tons of secondhand clothes for sale on the street each year. VOA's Lenny Ruvaga reports.
