First Tick Genome Map Could Chart Ways to Stop Parasite

Ticks transmit a wider variety of pathogens than any other arthropod, causing thousands of human and animal deaths annually. Now researchers at Purdue University have mapped the first tick genome in hopes of putting a stop to it. Erika Celeste reports from West Lafayette, Indiana.
