Iran Filmmaker: Appeals Court Reduces Sentence to 1 Year

An Iranian filmmaker says an appeals court has sentenced him to a year in prison, reducing his initial sentence of six years over "insulting sanctities." Keywan Karimi said on Monday that he is still to receive 223 lashes as stipulated in the original sentence. He says he plans to serve his time and has "no intention to leave the country."
