China Arrests Rights Lawyers in Crackdown

Chinese authorities have arrested several prominent human rights lawyers on charges of state subversion as part of a crackdown on critics and activists. The lawyers were among the more than 130 lawyers detained last July after being accused of organizing protests outside courtrooms in an effort to put pressure on local authorities.
