Incumbent Seychelles President Wins 3rd Term

Seychelles President James Michel won a third term in office by an extremely narrow margin, with the opposition calling for a recount. Michel, who is 71, won a runoff election in the Indian Ocean archipelago with just 50.15 percent of the vote over opposition leader Wavel Ramkalawan.
