German Court Allows Trial of Nazi Death Camp Medic

A German appeals court ruled Tuesday that a former Nazi medic at the Auschwitz death camp was fit enough to be put on trial. The court in Rostock overruled a lower court that said the 95-year-old defendant identified as Hubert Z. was too frail to withstand a trial.   The suspect served in Auschwitz from October 1943 until September 1944.
