Amnesty: Shell Did Not Clean Oil Spills in Niger Delta

Amnesty International and the Center for Environment, Human Rights and Development in Nigeria say multinational oil company Shell has not cleaned up four oil spill sites in the Niger Delta, as the company claims. Oil pollution in the Ogoniland region of the Niger Delta is so severe the U.N. Environmental Program said in a 2011 study it will take decades to clean up.
