3-D-Printed Devices Help Scientists Trap, Study Tree-Damaging Bugs

Beetles not native to Southern California are causing much damage to trees, including those that bear avocados, a lucrative California crop. Scientists at the University of California-Riverside are fighting this problem with the help of 3-D printers. The invasive beetles are from Southeast Asia, and scientists aren't sure how they got to California.
