Scores Dead in Suspected Boko Haram Attack

Suspected Boko Haram militants have shot dead nearly 100 people in a town in far northeastern Nigeria. Witnesses say gunmen stormed the Borno state town of Kukawa, near Lake Chad, on Wednesday evening. Reports from the area say at least 97 people were killed. The French news agency reports the gunmen attacked local mosques first, then targeted houses.
