Major Quake in Nepal Kills More Than 1,800, Shakes Mount Everest

A major earthquake and dozens of powerful aftershocks struck Nepal on Saturday, destroying parts of the capital, Kathmandu, killing more than 1,800 people and injuring at least 4,700, according to the country's Home Ministry.
