New York Cabbies Reflect City's Diversity

New York City's Taxicab Factbook says a typical yellow cab in the "Big Apple" -- as the city is called -- travels some 112,600 kilometers a year, enough to travel around the world 2.8 times. For the city's 50,000 cab drivers, the circumstances that have led them to this job are as diverse as the population they serve. VOA's Celia Mendoza and Ramon Taylor spoke with some cabbies, and they chronicle what the cab drivers had to say.
