Broadway Play Explores Islamophobia, Tensions, in Post 9-11 US

As a novelist and playwright, Pakistani American Ayad Akhtar has focused on the cultural interplay -- and tensions -- between Islam and the West. In 2013, he became the first American playwright with a Muslim background to win the Pulitzer Prize for drama, for his play Disgraced, now on Broadway. VOA’s Carolyn Weaver reports.
