World Bank Expects Global Trade to Grow at Slower Pace

Global trade should expand more slowly over the next decade than it did in the 30 years before the financial crisis, the World Bank said Wednesday, citing forecasts for slower economic growth and longer-term shifts in trade patterns. For the three decades leading up to the global financial crisis of 2007-09, trade had expanded at a steady clip of about 7 percent a year.
