At Least 2 Dead as Typhoon Batters Philippines

Typhoon Hagupit killed at least two people, caused flooding and high waves, and knocked out power in the Philippines after making landfall on the east coast overnight. Disaster-response agency chief Alexander Pama said at least two people in central Iloilo province were killed because of the typhoon.
