FDA, EPA: Pregnant Woman Should Eat More Fish

Pregnant women, nursing women, women who might become pregnant and young children should eat more fish lower in mercury, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency.   The draft recommendation states that pregnant women should eat at least 8 ounces and up to 12 ounces (2-3 servings) per week of a variety of fish, according to a news release from the FDA.   “For years many women have limited or avoided eating fish during pregnancy...
