US to Send Another $300 Million to S. Sudan

The United States is promising another $300 million in humanitarian aid to South Sudan, where the United Nations says 4 million people are at risk of starvation. The State Department says the U.S. is responding to immediate food needs, including supplements for malnourished children. The U.S. is the largest single donor to South Sudan, giving more than $434 million since last year.
