Malala Portrait Raises $102,000 for Nigerian Girls

A British artist's portrait of Pakistani education activist Malala Yousafzai has sold for more than $100,000 at auction. Christie's said the painting of the teenager shot in the head by the Taliban while on her way to school sold for $102,500, including commission and fees. The proceeds from the sale will go to the Malala Fund charity. The fund said the money would in turn be given to Nigerian nonprofits that focus on education for women and girls in the wake of the kidnapping...
