Gunfire, Blasts Heard in Eastern Ukraine

Gunfire and large blasts were heard Friday around a rebel-held city in eastern Ukraine. Pro-Russian rebels say the blasts near Slovyansk are part of an attack by Ukrainian forces. Western media saw a military helicopter circling low in the area. A Reuters photographer said he saw the helicopter open fire on the outskirts of the city.
