Pakistan Taliban Extends Ceasefire

The Pakistani Taliban has extended its month-long ceasefire. Spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said Friday the ceasefire has been extended until April 10. The militants initiated the ceasefire March 1 to allow peace talks with the government to resume. The ceasefire extension follows the announcement Thursday that Pakistan's government released at least 16 Taliban prisoners.
