US Supreme Court Overturns Limits on Political Campaign Donations

The U.S. Supreme Court has struck down the overall limit on the amount donors can give to American political campaigns, ruling that such a restriction violates the country's constitutional guarantee of freedom of speech.Until now, donors could make contributions to as many candidates and political causes as they wished -- as long as the total amount did not exceed $123,200.
