Presidential Runoff Elections Needed in Costa Rica, El Salvador

Preliminary presidential election results from Costa Rica and El Salvador indicate both Central American countries will hold runoff balloting.   In Costa Rica, ruling National Liberation Party candidate Johnny Araya and Citizen Action Party candidate Luis Guillermo Solis each had about one third of the vote.
