Better Known For Grapes, Napa Valley Also Produces Giant Pumpkins

Napa Valley, in the western U.S. state of California, may be famous for its grapes, which are used to make wine, but now it has a new star.    The top three winners in the 40th annual World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off, held on Monday in Half Moon Bay, California, are from Napa.   The winning pumpkin topped the scales at 900 kilograms, or 1,985 pounds.     However, it was smaller than the 920-kilogram pumpkin that set the world record earlier this month at a ...
