Kenya's President Seeks Dismissal of ICC Trial

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta is attempting to stop his upcoming trial at the International Criminal Court . In a request filed with the court on Thursday, Kenyatta's lawyers called for an end to the case, citing evidence of wide-ranging abuses, including witness intimidation. The Kenyan president is due to go on trial on November 12. He faces charges of crimes against humanity for allegedly orchestrating post-election violence in 2007 and 2008.
