Iran: Ailing Revolutionary Icon to Be Jailed

An 80-year-old activist who was prominent in Iran’s Islamic revolution has been ordered to surrender to serve an eight-year prison sentence. Ebrahim Yazdi, a former leader of the Freedom Movement party, was convicted in December 2011 on charges solely relating to the exercise of his rights to freedom of association and speech.
