Nicolas Cage Speaks With Somali Pirates

The actor has taken a break from his ever-growing money woes to fulfill his duties as a U.N. Goodwill Ambassador.

Cage traveled to the Shimo la Tewa GK Prison in Mombasa, Kenya, to meet and speak with a number of the detained Somali pirates who attacked the Maersk Alabama container ship back in April.

"I'm in a position where I can actually make some sense and talk about it when I go back to the States where I go talk to different U.N. councils and discuss the matter," Cage told reporters on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, the container ship was attacked yet again on Wednesday morning, even though warships are protecting the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden from pirate hijacking.
