Que l'on soit à Montréal ou dans n'importe quelle grande ville du monde, on croise souvent, au coin des rues, des sans-abri. À cause de la dépendance aux drogues ou à l'alcool ou à cause de drames personnels menant à la perte de confiance en soi, ces personnes ont connu des parcours différents qui les ont toutes menées dans la même jungle, celle de la rue. Elles sont condamnées à survivre dans un environnement d'insécurité constante, devant affronter le froid, la faim, le mépris, parfois même la violence.
