Second journalist murdered in Rio de Janeiro state in less than a month

NewsReporters Without Borders (RSF) is concerned about the vulnerability of journalists in Rio de Janeiro state after local news website editor and reporter Romário da Silva Barros this week became the second journalist to be murdered in the space of a month in Maricá, a coastal city just to the east of the city of Rio de Janeiro.RSF calls on the authorities to reinforce protection for journalists as a matter of the utmost urgency.
