Shanghai Building Collapses, Killing at Least 5 People

A building that was being refurbished collapsed Thursday in downtown Shanghai, and at least five people were killed though 14 have been pulled from the rubble alive, according to wire services. The building being converted into an auto showroom fell around 11:30 a.m., and the city’s rescue service said 24 emergency vehicles and more than 150 personnel responded to the emergency.
