Biram Dah Abeid, député et leader du mouvement anti-esclavagiste IRA, est sorti de prison le 31 décembre. Il était jugé par un tribunal de Nouakchott pour tentative d’atteinte à l’intégrité d’autrui. Le député avait déjà purgé sa peine après 5 mois de détention préventive.
