Anti-Immigrant Activists See Migrant Caravan as a Political Gift

The caravan of Central American asylum seekers heading to the U.S. border has become a key issue in the upcoming U.S. midterm congressional elections. VOA’s Brian Padden reports anti-immigrant activists expect President Donald Trump’s efforts to portray the caravan as a national emergency to shift public focus away from other controversial polices and bolster his Republican Party prospects at the polls.
